No less than 154 darts players will battle it out to become the 2021 UK Open winner.

The competition, which is commonly known as the ‘FA Cup of Darts’, sees players drawn against one another out of a hat with no seedings in play.

Its unique format has drawn comparisons to football’s oldest club competition - the FA Cup - with all PDC Tour Card holders invited to compete.

The world’s top 32 players, including reigning champion Michael van Gerwen, world number one Gerwyn Price and former UK Open champions Peter Wright, Gary Anderson, James Wade, Nathan Aspinall and Adrian Lewis, will join the competition at the fourth round stage.

When does the UK Open Darts 2021 start?

Players of the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) will compete for 2021 UK Open glory over the weekend of 5-7 March.

In 2021, the UK Open is taking place behind closed doors due to restrictions on mass gatherings and sporting events due to the Covid pandemic.

The players will compete at the Marshall Arena in Milton Keynes rather than the tournament’s usual home of the Butlins Minehead Resort.

What is the UK Open Darts 2021 draw?

The draw for the first three rounds of the 2021 UK Open have been made, with five-time world champion Raymond van Barneveld returning to the big stage.

The Dutchman will take on Scottish fireman Alan Soutar for a place in the third round. Here’s the rest of the selected ties for the UK Open:
