The select band are members of the club’s Hall of Fame and four more will be inducted at a special ceremony on Sunday. A celebration lunch at AMT Headingley Stadium will also mark the 20th anniversary of Leeds’ first Super League triumph and a decade since their Wembley Challenge Cup final win against Castleford Tigers.
To be eligible for the Hall of Fame, individuals must have played at least 150 games for Leeds, made an ‘exceptional contribution’ to rugby in the city and achieved representative honours during their playing career. Here’s a full list of the 28 current members, in the order they were inducted.
25. Jim Bacon (1918-27)
The Welsh winger scored 121 tries and 20 goals in 276 games in blue and amber, captained the team and was a Yorkshire Cup and Challenge Cup winner.Photo: Leeds Rhinos heritage committee
26. Barry Seabourne (1963-72)
Only the second Leeds man to captain Leeds to the Championship title, the scrum-half scored 25 tries and 73 goals - including 34 drop goals - in 172 appearances.Photo: YPN
27. Kevin Dick (1975-86)
Known as the 'Iron Teddy Bear', the scrum-half was was a Wembley winner in his first two Challenge Cup ties, scoring a try in the 1977 final and making a substitute appearance the following year. He was also man of the match in the 1979 Premiership final and the following year’s Yorkshire Cup showpiece and scored more than 1,000 points for the club in 258 games.Photo: Steve Riding
28. Keith Senior (1999-2011)
Signed from Sheffield Eagles, the powerful and pacy centre played in Leeds’ first four Grand Final wins - and set Super League records for most appearances and tries - before a knee injury ended his career in 2011.Photo: Bruce Rollinson
